Thinking Deeply in the Ocean of Revelation: The Bible and the Life of the Mind – R.C. Sproul

R.C. Sproul gave the second address at the 2010 Desiring God National Conference.  Using Acts 17 as a springboard, doctor Sproul launched into an understandable and riveting exposition of ancient philosophy.  Now I know some of you will say, “A riveting exposition of ancient philosophy?  Um, yeah, right.”  But, no, seriously.   It is very interesting.  Give it a chance.

Basically he unpacks the major philosophical problems of history, those thorny issues that have long boggled men in their autonomy, and when all is set in order, when the futility is apparent, he turns back to Paul at Athens and points to Christ as the solution.

I would have liked for him to further unpack the solution, but the message is still very good.  I heartily commend it to you.

Difficulty: Moderate.  He takes a complex subject and makes it very understandable.

Must Listen Factor: High.  It’s Sproul.  Need I say more?

Length: Around an hour.
