Ever since the advent of the mp3 player, my life has changed considerably. Now when I perform my duties as a letter carrier, walking happily under the big Indiana sky, I’m able to listen to a variety of mp3s. Few jobs permit such a luxury. But alas, I am one of the fortunate few.
This means that I’m able to wade through hours of audio each and every day (Not that I always do). Sometimes I listen to music. Sometimes audio books. But most of the time I listen to podcasts, debates, sermons, conference messages, lectures and just about anything else I can get my virtual hands on. I’ve been doing this for years now, scavenging the internet for new sources of information, hoping to find something interesting to digest and ponder.
Somewhere along the way, I felt compelled to share what I’ve found with the wider world, to discuss my findings, catalog and comment upon both the good and the bad in the hopes that those who cannot devote a lot of time to listening to mp3s will be able to cut to the chase, as it were. Listen to the cream of the crop. Find what most interests them and download accordingly. I guess you could say that I want to deliver more than mail.

Austin, it’s so good to find a man after my own heart! I just starting working as a handyman, and my great discovery has been the same as yours, only some time later it seems: hours of time for learning through audio! So glad to find this resource.
Have you checked out free audiobook apps? They have a bunch of public domain works (somewhere near 3000) that average joe’s create for a librivox.org. Not specifically theological, but still some classic works by guys like Chesterton and most pre-20th century philosophers. Also a lot of fun stuff to kill time. I’m working through Sherlock Holmes.

I came across your site, and thought it would be an excellent resource for my catechism students. I have been teaching it for over 20 yrs, and continue to try and link them to resources that will help them grow. Hopefully they will have a look at what you have put together. In August, after 18yrs of compiling information, I have put my book on the market. It is called, Christ of the Creation Days: How the Creation Days Typologically Picture the Covenants (Westbow Press).
